Terms of service

Use the checker as a practical aid, with an understanding of its limits and your responsibility for account security.

1. Service and identity

SecureCheck is a free, browser-based password composition checker and random-password generator published under the Sortsptscenegarden name. It requires no account and offers no paid plan, vault, monitoring subscription, or recovery service. These terms describe permitted use of the website and its educational materials.

Sortsptscenegarden Digital Ltd is a proposed, illustrative operator name, not a verified incorporated entity. No company number or registered office is claimed. These terms do not create a contract with a nonexistent incorporated company or replace disclosures a live operator must provide under applicable law.

2. Your obligations

Use the tool only with credentials you are authorized to handle and in accordance with applicable law and organizational policies. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with hosting infrastructure, distribute malicious modifications as the original service, or misrepresent a score as an independent security certification.

You are responsible for using a trusted device, checking the destination before entering credentials, saving generated values securely, and complying with the account provider’s requirements. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, private keys, or recovery material through the contact channel. The checker is not intended to collect evidence of another person’s credentials.

3. Analysis and generation limitations

Scores reflect a disclosed heuristic based on length, character categories, and a limited set of pattern checks. They are not breach results, entropy measurements, penetration tests, or predictions of a specific attacker’s performance. A high score does not establish uniqueness or protection from phishing, malware, session theft, or recovery abuse.

Generation relies on the browser’s cryptographic random interface. Availability depends on your environment, and clipboard access may require HTTPS and permission. You must verify that a destination accepts and saves the complete credential. The site cannot recover generated passwords after you leave or clear the page.

4. Intellectual property

Original website text, layout, and code may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may access the service and use its output for your own lawful purposes. No ownership claim is made over passwords you enter or generate. Rights in third-party names and technologies remain with their respective holders.

Nothing in these terms prevents uses allowed by mandatory law, including applicable quotation or accessibility exceptions. Republishing the site under a misleading identity or implying endorsement is not authorized by simply having access to the public files.

5. Availability and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted access, fitness for a particular security requirement, or error-free results. Educational guidance is general and is not a substitute for a qualified assessment of a specific system.

To the extent legally permitted, the operator excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on the tool, loss of access, or insecure handling of credentials. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Suspension, termination, and changes

You may stop using the website at any time. Because there is no user account, there is no account-deletion or subscription-cancellation process. Access may be restricted to address abuse or legal requirements, and the service may be modified or discontinued. Such changes do not permit the retrospective removal of non-excludable rights.

Material revisions should be reflected in the effective date and published wording. Check the current explanation before relying on a changed scoring method or feature. Your browser preference can be removed independently through site-storage controls.

7. Governing law and disputes

Subject to mandatory local protections and the identification of an actual operator, these terms use the law of England and Wales as their intended governing law. Courts of England and Wales are the intended forum, without preventing consumers from using courts or protections available in their home jurisdiction.

Raise a concern first through Contact, explaining the issue without disclosing secrets. Informal discussion does not require you to surrender statutory remedies, agree to mandatory arbitration, or waive collective rights where protected by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply only insofar as legally valid.
