1. Scope and operator transparency
SecureCheck is a browser-based password checker and generator published under the Sortsptscenegarden name. This policy describes the behavior implemented by the website’s HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It does not claim that local processing protects against a compromised device or every service involved in delivering a webpage.
Sortsptscenegarden Digital Ltd is a proposed, illustrative operator name, not a verified incorporated entity. No company number, registered office, or verified data-controller identity has been established. A live operator must supply its actual identity, applicable processing details, and legally required contact information. The published contact route is [email protected]; this static website cannot verify mailbox availability.
2. Password analysis and generation
Entered passwords are analyzed in the current browser page. The tool calculates length, character-category findings, pattern warnings, and a guidance score locally. It does not transmit passwords or results, perform breach lookups, log entered secrets, or store them in cookies or local storage.
Generation uses the browser’s cryptographic random-value interface. Generated passwords remain in the input field and page memory until replaced, cleared, or the page is left. The code resets the tool on page entry and exit, including back-forward restoration. These actions are not a guarantee of secure memory erasure: browser internals, extensions, operating-system features, or a compromised device may retain or access data.
There is no password vault, account history, or recovery service. Save a generated credential in a trusted password manager before leaving. Avoid entering an existing high-value secret into any website you do not trust.
3. Clipboard access
Selecting Copy generated asks the browser to write the generated password to the operating system’s clipboard. The website does not read your clipboard. Copying may require HTTPS and browser permission; the tool reports when the operation is unavailable or blocked.
Clipboard history, synchronization, and other applications are outside this tool’s control. Clearing the password field does not clear the clipboard. Replace or remove sensitive clipboard contents when finished, and review any clipboard-history settings on your device.
4. Browser storage and privacy choices
The supplied website sets no application cookies and includes no analytics or advertising scripts. After you make a privacy choice, it saves one local-storage value named securecheck-cookie-choice-v1. The value is accept, reject, or essential; it contains no password, contact details, score, or unique identifier.
The preference remains until replaced, cleared through browser site-data controls, or removed by the browser. Accepting and rejecting both leave optional tracking off because none is installed. If storage is blocked, the banner can be dismissed for the current page but may reappear later.
See the cookie policy for the storage inventory and removal instructions. You can also reopen the preference panel below.
5. Contact messages
The contact form checks your name, email address, topic, message, and acknowledgement locally. It then prepares a mailto link containing those details. Preparing the link does not submit a message to this website or create a support ticket. Form details and the prepared link are held in the page, not saved in persistent site storage by the form code.
Choosing Open email application passes the draft to your configured email handler. Your email application or provider may store the draft before you send it. Sending uses your email provider and the recipient’s email infrastructure, under their respective policies. If a message is received, its contents and email metadata are available to the recipient for handling the enquiry.
No verified mailbox provider, message-retention period, or international-transfer arrangement is specified in this build. An actual operator must document these before using the mailbox to process enquiries. Never include passwords, recovery codes, private keys, or screenshots containing credentials.
6. Website delivery and third parties
Local password analysis does not mean visiting the website creates no network traffic. Loading pages and their stylesheet and script requires requests to the host. The hosting infrastructure may receive an IP address, requested resource, request time, and browser-related headers. Its logging, retention, security measures, and processing locations cannot be determined from these static files.
The supplied pages do not load third-party fonts, maps, analytics, or remote images. The contact map is a static illustration and requests no location permission. No password is included in a URL or network request by the checker code. A deployment that adds services or changes these behaviors must update its disclosures accordingly.
7. Retention, rights, and requests
The tool maintains no server-side password record to retrieve, correct, or delete. You can clear its input, reset the contact form, and remove the saved preference using browser controls. These actions do not delete email-provider records, hosting logs, or clipboard copies.
Depending on applicable law and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal data, or to object to its use. Where processing relies on consent, you may be able to withdraw it. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
Use Contact to raise a privacy question, describing the relevant interaction without supplying credentials or unnecessary identity documents. Because an actual controller and mailbox operation have not been verified, this page does not promise a response or substitute for the disclosures and procedures a live operator must provide.
8. Changes to this policy
Changes to storage, contact handling, hosting arrangements, or optional services should be reflected in this policy and its effective date. Optional tracking must not be treated as authorized merely because an earlier preference was saved when no such tracking existed.
For the tool’s technical limits, read Understanding password strength. The terms of service explain permitted use and the limits of relying on a composition score.
